Allexton Day Nursery Staff

We have a Child Protection Manager & Deputy and there is a safeguarding Lead within each room. The child protection team will have specific qualifications when dealing with safeguarding issues. They will hold qualifications and training with various aspects of safeguarding such as:- Safeguarding Children 0-19 years, Social Care with Children and Families, Domestic Abuse and Coercive, Drug & Alcohol Training, safeguarding information sharing, Parents with Mental Health, Tackling Childhood Neglect, FBII, Early Help Training, Signs and symbols, Sexual Abuse Training, Signs of Safety and Working with Hostile Families. Our safeguarding team have regular supervisions and work closely together to ensure the best outcome for children.

Due to rise in health care needs in children we have a dedicated SEND & SENCO Team. We also have a dedicated room that supports our inclusive practice and Children's individual health care needs. This Team have been on various training courses and have gained a wealth of knowledge in Children's health care needs such as Tube-feeding, Catheter Training, Hoist Training, Epilepsy, Sensory Processing disorders, Makaton & On Body Signing, Down Syndrome, Differentiation curriculums i.e MSI, Routes for learning, PEC's, SEN Inclusion, Signs & Symbols, Autism, CAMHS Specialist Training & ICAN & Nasen. Our team work very closely with the area SENCO and multi agency professionals to ensure that the best plans are put together for holistic development of the children.
